Moravia, Iowa is a small town located in Appanoose County, Iowa. It is situated on the banks of the Chariton River, about 25 miles south of the state capital of Des Moines. The town was founded in 1854 and has a population of approximately 1,000 people.

Moravia is located in the rolling hills of south-central Iowa. The town is situated on the banks of the Chariton River, which flows through the town and provides a scenic backdrop. The town is surrounded by farmland and is located near the intersection of two major highways, US Highway 34 and Iowa Highway 5. The town is located about 25 miles south of Des Moines, the state capital, and about 50 miles north of the Missouri border.
