Goodell is a small city located in Wright County, Iowa, United States. The population was 545 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Mason City Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Geography
Goodell is located at 43 14 17 North 93 17 45 West 43 238 93 296
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km2), all of it land.
History
Goodell was founded in 1881 by the Goodell family, who had moved to the area from New York. The town was named after the family. The first post office was established in 1882.
The town was incorporated in 1887. In the early 1900s, Goodell was a thriving community with a population of over 500.
