Gadsden is a small town located in the state of Tennessee, in the United States. It is situated in the southeastern part of the state, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. History

Gadsden was founded in 1818 by a group of settlers from North Carolina. The town was named after James Gadsden, a Revolutionary War hero and the first mayor of the town. The town was originally a farming community, but it soon developed into a small industrial center. The town was home to several factories, including a cotton mill, a paper mill, and a furniture factory.
In the late 19th century, Gadsden was a popular tourist destination. The town was known for its scenic beauty and its many attractions, including a mineral springs, a zoo, and a golf course.
