Douglass Summary

Douglass, Kansas is a small city located in Butler County, Kansas. It is situated in the south-central part of the state, approximately 30 miles south of Wichita. The city has a population of approximately 2,000 people and is part of the Wichita metropolitan area.

History

Douglass was founded in 1871 by a group of settlers from Ohio. The city was named after James Douglass, a prominent local businessman. The city was incorporated in 1887 and has remained a small, rural community ever since.
