Claypool is a small rural community with a limited economy. The town is home to several small businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, a restaurant, and a few other small shops. The town also has a post office and a bank. The town is also home to a few manufacturing companies, including a plastics manufacturer and a metal fabrication company.
