Somerville Summary

Somerville is a small town located in Morgan County, Alabama. It is situated in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, approximately 30 miles south of Huntsville. The town was founded in 1818 and is the oldest town in Morgan County. The population of Somerville was 1,845 at the 2010 census.

Geography

Somerville is located at 34°41'25" North, 86°45'45" West (34.690278, -86.762500). According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.2 square miles, all land.
