Hokes Bluff is a small town located in Etowah County, Alabama. It is situated on the banks of the Coosa River, about 10 miles east of Gadsden. The town was founded in 1836 and named after the Hokes family, who were among the first settlers in the area. The population of Hokes Bluff was 2,717 at the 2010 census.
