Valders Summary

Valders is a village located in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,845 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Manitowoc-Two Rivers Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Valders was first settled in 1848 by Norwegian immigrants. The village was named after the Valdres region of Norway. The first post office was established in 1856. The village was incorporated in 1891.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1,845 people, 717 households, and 486 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,541.2 people per square mile (595.2/km2).
