Sayner Summary

Sayner, Wisconsin is a small village located in Vilas County in the north-central part of the state. It is situated on the eastern shore of Little Star Lake, which is part of the larger Trout Lake chain. There were 233 households, out of which 24.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.5% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.3% were non-families. 32.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.34 and the average family size was 2.94.
In the village, the population was spread out, with 22.2% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 24.2% from 25 to 44, 28.2% from 45 to 64, and 19.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 43 years. For every 100 females, there were 97.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.2 males.

The per capita income for the village was $19,945.
