Reeseville is a small village located in Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,093 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Reeseville was founded in 1845 by William Rees, a Welsh immigrant. Rees had purchased the land from the government and began to develop the area. He built a sawmill, a grist mill, and a store. The village was named after him.
In 1848, Rees built a hotel, which was the first in the area. The hotel was a popular destination for travelers and settlers.

In 1851 the first post office was established in Reeseville The village was incorporated in 1856
