Marion Summary

Marion, Wisconsin is a small village located in the south-central part of the state, in the county of Waupaca. It is situated on the banks of the Wolf River, and is surrounded by rolling hills and lush forests. The village has a population of just over 1,000 people, and is known for its small-town charm and friendly atmosphere.

History

Marion was first settled in 1848 by a group of German immigrants. The village was named after the daughter of one of the settlers, and was incorporated in 1876. In the late 19th century, Marion was a thriving agricultural community, with many of the residents working in the local dairy and lumber industries.
