Loganville Summary

Loganville is a small village located in the town of York, Green County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,093 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Madison Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Loganville was founded in 1845 by William Logan, a settler from Ohio. He purchased the land from the government and built a log cabin. The village was originally known as Logansville, but the name was changed to Loganville in 1856.
The village was incorporated in 1872 and the first mayor was William Logan. The village grew slowly but steadily over the years, and by the early 1900s it had become a thriving community.

Geography

Loganville is located at 43°11'17" North, 89°45'45" West (43.1879, -89.7625). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all of it land.

Economy

Loganville is a small, rural community with a primarily agricultural economy. The village is home to several small businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, a restaurant, and a few other small shops.
The village is also home to a number of farms, which produce a variety of crops, including corn, soybeans, and hay. The village also has a small manufacturing sector, which produces a variety of products, including furniture, clothing, and food products.
