Brandon Summary

Brandon is a small town located in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. It is situated on the western edge of the county, just south of the city of Fond du Lac. The town was founded in 1845 and has a population of just over 1,000 people.

History

The area that is now Brandon was first settled in 1845 by a group of German immigrants. The town was originally called “New Berlin”, but was later changed to Brandon in 1856. The town was named after a local settler, William Brandon.
The town was primarily an agricultural community for many years, with the main crops being wheat, corn, and oats. In the late 19th century, Brandon began to develop into a small industrial center, with several factories being built in the area.
