Blair Summary

Blair is a small village located in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 545 at the 2010 census. It is part of the La Crosse-Onalaska, WI-MN Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Blair was founded in 1856 by a group of settlers from New York. The village was named after the Blair family, who were among the first settlers. The first post office was established in 1858.
In the late 19th century, Blair was a thriving agricultural community. The village was home to several businesses, including a general store, a blacksmith shop, a sawmill, and a cheese factory.

Geography

Blair is located at 44°25'25"N 91°25'45"W (44.423, -91.429). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km2), all of it land.

Economy
