Stonewall Summary

Stonewall is a small town located in Atoka County, Oklahoma. It is situated in the southeastern part of the state, about 40 miles south of McAlester and about 20 miles north of the Texas border. The town was named after the nearby Stonewall Mountain, which was named after the Battle of Stonewall during the Civil War. The population of Stonewall was estimated to be 545 in 2020.

The town is located in the Red River Valley, which is a major agricultural region in the state. The town is located on the banks of the Red River, which is a major tributary of the Mississippi River. The town is located in a humid subtropical climate zone, with hot summers and mild winters.
