Newkirk is a small town located in Kay County, Oklahoma. It is situated on the Arkansas River, approximately 20 miles south of Ponca City. Newkirk is located at 36°45'25" North, 97°2'25" West (36.756944, -97.040278). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), all land.

The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 2.94.
