Geary Summary

Geary is a small town located in Blaine County, Oklahoma. It is situated in the western part of the state, approximately 30 miles northwest of Oklahoma City. The town was founded in 1891 and was named after the Geary family, who were among the first settlers in the area. As of the 2010 census, the population of Geary was 1,845.

Geography

Geary is located at 35°45'25"N 98°17'45"W (35.7569, -98.2958). It is situated in the western part of Oklahoma, approximately 30 miles northwest of Oklahoma City. The town is located in the Red Bed Plains region of the state, which is characterized by flat terrain and red-colored soil. The town is situated on the banks of the North Canadian River, which flows through the area.

Climate

Geary has a humid subtropical climate, with hot summers and mild winters. The average annual temperature is around 63°F (17°C). The average high temperature in the summer is around 90°F (32°C), while the average low temperature in the winter is around 33°F (1°C).
