Crescent is located at 35°51'25" North, 97°37'17" West (35.856944, -97.621389). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), all of it land.

Crescent is a small town with a limited economy. The town is home to a few small businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, and a few restaurants. The town also has a post office and a bank. The town is also home to a few manufacturing companies, including a furniture manufacturer and a plastics manufacturer.

The racial makeup of the town was 94.2% White, 0.3% African American, 1.2% Native American, 0.3% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 1.2% from other races, and 2.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.2% of the population.
There were 717 households, out of which 33.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.2% were married couples living together, 11.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.7% were non-families. 24.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.56 and the average family size was 3.04.
In the town, the population was spread out, with 26.7% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 22.7% from 45 to 64, and 14.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 95.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.2 males.
