Tidmore Bend Summary

Tidmore Bend is a small unincorporated community located in Etowah County, Alabama. It is situated along the Coosa River, approximately 10 miles south of Gadsden. The community is named after the Tidmore family, who were among the first settlers in the area.

History

The area that is now Tidmore Bend was first settled in the early 1800s by the Tidmore family. The family was originally from North Carolina and had moved to Alabama in search of better opportunities.
