Malone Summary

Malone is a small town located in Jackson County, Florida. It is situated in the panhandle region of the state, approximately 20 miles east of the Alabama border. The town was founded in 1883 and has a population of approximately 1,500 people.

History

Malone was founded in 1883 by a group of settlers from Georgia. The town was named after a local landowner, John Malone. The town was originally a farming community, with cotton and corn being the main crops. In the early 1900s, the town began to grow and develop, with the construction of a railroad line and the opening of a post office.
