Gadsden Summary
Gadsden, Arizona is a small town located in the southeastern corner of the state, near the New Mexico border. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area and is the county seat of Pima County. The town was founded in 1854 and was named after Colonel James Gadsden, who negotiated the Gadsden Purchase with Mexico in 1853.
