The town of Hackett, Arkansas is located in Sebastian County, in the western part of the state. It is situated on the Arkansas River, just south of Fort Smith. The town was founded in 1873 and was named after the first postmaster, William Hackett. The population of Hackett was 1,220 at the 2010 census.
