Evening Shade Summary

History

The town of Evening Shade, Arkansas is located in Sharp County in the northeast corner of the state. It was founded in 1881 by a group of settlers from the nearby town of Hardy. The town was named after a nearby creek, which was named for the abundance of shade trees that grew along its banks.
