Copper Center Summary

Copper Center is a small unincorporated community located in the Copper River Valley of the Chugach Mountains in the U.S. state of Alaska. History

Copper Center was originally inhabited by the Ahtna Athabascan people, who had lived in the area for thousands of years. The first European settlers arrived in the area in the late 19th century, and the town was officially established in 1898.
