Clarkson, Nebraska is a small town located in Colfax County, Nebraska. It is situated on the banks of the Platte River, approximately 30 miles northwest of Omaha. The town was founded in 1871 and was named after the first postmaster, William Clarkson. The population of Clarkson was 1,093 at the 2010 census.

Clarkson is located at 41°45'25" North, 96°45'25" West (41.756944, -96.756944). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all of it land.

Clarkson is a small rural community with a strong agricultural base. The town is home to several businesses, including a grain elevator, a feed mill, a lumber yard, a hardware store, a grocery store, a bank, a post office, and a few restaurants. The town also has a small industrial park, which is home to a few small businesses.
