As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 4,936, making it the second-least populous county in Nebraska. Its county seat is Ord. Geography
Valley County is located in the north-central part of Nebraska. It is bordered by Garfield County to the north, Greeley County to the east, Sherman County to the south, and Howard County to the west.
