Daisy Summary
Daisy is a small town located in the northwest corner of Arkansas in the Ozark Mountains. It is situated in the foothills of the Ozarks, and is surrounded by the White River and its tributaries. The town is located in Madison County, and is part of the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers Metropolitan Statistical Area.
History
Daisy was founded in 1883 by a group of settlers from the nearby town of Huntsville. The town was named after Daisy, the daughter of one of the settlers. The town was originally a farming community, and the main crops grown were cotton, corn, and wheat. In the early 1900s, the town began to grow and develop, and by the 1920s, it had become a thriving community.
In the 1930s, Daisy was hit hard by the Great Depression, and many of the town's businesses closed. However, the town was able to recover, and by the 1950s, it had become a popular tourist destination.
