Introduction

Uniontown is a small town located in the state of Kentucky, United States. It is situated in the western part of the state, in the county of Union. The town has a population of around 1,000 people and is known for its rural charm and small-town atmosphere. The town is home to a variety of businesses, including a few restaurants, a grocery store, and a few other small businesses. The town is also home to a few churches and a post office.

History

Uniontown was founded in 1820 by a group of settlers from Union County, North Carolina. The town was originally known as Unionville, but the name was changed to Uniontown in 1825. The town was incorporated in 1837 and was the county seat of Union County until 1845.
The town was a major stop on the Louisville and Nashville Railroad, which ran through the town from 1871 to 1877. The railroad brought a great deal of economic growth to the town, and it was a major hub for the area.
The town was also home to a number of businesses, including a flour mill, a sawmill, a grist mill, and a blacksmith shop. The town also had a number of stores, including a general store, a drug store, and a hardware store.
