Carrollton Summary

Carrollton, Alabama is a small town located in Pickens County, Alabama. It is situated in the northwest corner of the state, approximately 30 miles east of Tuscaloosa and 40 miles west of Birmingham. The town was founded in 1820 and is named after Charles Carroll, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The population of Carrollton was 1,845 as of the 2010 census.
